Making mistakes

"When will I stop making mistakes?" I lamented, once, to a friend.

Not missing a beat, that wise friend answered me: "When you're dead."

Even if you don't believe in reincarnation (which I am guessing you don't) you could continue making mistakes long after you're dead. The living will discover mistakes you made but kept hidden; mistakes you made will continue to have negative repercussions; you will be blamed for mistakes you didn't actually make; and so forth.

So it's even worse than you thought!

P.S. Insert humor tags as necessary.

Yeah, this happened quite recently, come to think of it.

So it's even worse than you thought!

Mark, that IS so grim it's funny.

well to that I agree. I tell people I am work in progress and when that is finished, then my time here is done!

Alex, whether your "amen" was for my wise friend, or Mark (another wise friend), or my reaction to Mark... thanks for chiming in.

Heidi, hugs. And Dana, it's kind of you to visit my blog--welcome.

Hi, cinderella! I think I remember reading at your blog that Newfoundland is your location. I used to live way on the other side. Vancouver. Loved it. Heck, I love Canada in general. Maybe I'll make it up to Newfoundland someday. (I do know how to pronounce it correctly. *grin*)

Now we're back east, and back in the States. So hey from NY!
